Gradually lower cutting height over 10 days with TargetHeight
Keep the cutting height at the highest level for the first few weeks after a new installation or when the grass is long. This helps protect both the grass and the loop wire in boundary wire installations. Gradually reduce the height each week until you reach your desired level.
Some Automower® models offer the feature TargetHeight, which automates this process by gradually lowering the cutting height from the maximum level to the specified cutting height during a period of 10 days. This is especially useful when installing new boundary wire to avoid the wire from getting damaged by the mower, or at the start of the season to prevent grass damage. Remember, manual adjustments of the cutting height during this period will deactivate TargetHeight.
You can enable this feature on the mower’s display:
Go to Menu and select Cutting height.
Choose TargetHeight.
Press OK to enable or disable the feature.
For Automower® models with AIM Technology, TargetHeight can be enabled in the Automower® Connect app:
Open the app and navigate to Settings > Operation.
Select TargetHeight.
Press OK to enable or disable the feature.
The TargetHeight feature is not available for robotic lawn mowers with EPOS® technology.
Cutting height-related error messagesError messages like Cutting system blocked and Collision sensor problem may indicate that grass or other debris is caught in the cutting height adjustment or between the blade disc and chassis. To address these issues:
Set the mower to OFF.
Wear protective gloves.
Inspect and clean the blade disc and the bellows around the cutting height mechanism.
