1.Clean the Saw Exterior
Wipe off sawdust, oil and debris from the body, guide bar and chain before and after use.
2.Check Chain Brake and Controls
Ensure the chain brake and throttle controls operate smoothly and correctly.
3. Inspect Guide Bar & Chain
Turn the guide bar periodically for even wear.
Make sure the lubrication hole is clear.
Remove debris from the bar groove.
4. Verify Chain Tension
Check tension before starting.
Adjust if the chain can be lifted but stays on the bar.
5.Clean Clutch Cover Area
Remove sawdust and oil from under the clutch cover to ensure proper cooling and chain movement.
6. Check Oil Delivery
Confirm the guide bar and chain are receiving oil during operation; clear blockages if not.
7. Inspect for Damage
Look for cracks, wear, or missing parts on the chain catcher, bar and saw body. Replace or service as needed.
