1. Clean Under the Clutch Cover
Remove sawdust, debris, and oil buildup under the clutch cover to help cooling and proper chain movement.
2. Inspect and Clean the Guide Bar
Remove debris from the bar groove.
Check the lubrication hole and clean if clogged.
File off any burrs or rough edges.
3. Clean or Replace the Air Filter
Remove the air filter and clean it. Replace if too dirty or damaged.
4. Check Starter and Vibration Components
Ensure the starter, starter cord, return spring, and vibration dampers are in good condition.
5. Sharpen or Check Chain Condition
Check chain sharpness and inspect for wear. Sharpen or replace as needed.
6. Inspect Safety Features
Test the chain brake and trigger controls.
Check the chain catcher and other safety parts.
7. Check Cooling and Muffler Components
Clean cooling fins and air intake slots. If equipped, clean the spark arrestor screen.
