1. Turn off the brushcutter and ensure the cutting attachment has come to a complete stop.

2. Disconnect the spark plug cap on a petrol model or remove the battery on a battery-powered model.

3. Lock the shaft using the locking pin or locking mechanism.

4. Remove the trimmer head and any components that are not used with a grass blade.

5. Install the drive disc, support flange and grass blade in the correct order.

6. Fit the locking nut and tighten it according to the instructions in your operator’s manual.

7. Check that all parts are correctly fitted and that the blade is securely fastened before use.
