Petrol-powered Hedge Trimmer support

Starting your Husqvarna hedge trimmer depends on the type of the product you have.

Battery and petrol models use different methods.

Safety first

Before starting:

• Wear protective gloves and eye protection

• Place the hedge trimmer on the ground

• Ensure blades are not touching anything

• Hold the machine firmly

Battery hedge trimmer - Aspire

Steps:

1. Insert the battery securely

2. Press and hold the safety trigger

3. Press the start/trigger button

4. Begin cutting

The blades start immediately when both controls are engages.

Petrol hedge trimmer

Cold start (engine not running)

1. Press the primer bulb
   - Press several times until fuel is visible

2. Set the choke to “start”
   - This helps the engine start

3. Pull the starter cord
   - Pull until the engine “fires”

4. Move the choke to “run”
   - Turn off or reduce choke

5. Pull again until the engine runs

Warm start (engine recently used)

• Leave choke in run position

• Pull starter cord until the engine starts

Warm engines do not require choke.

Common starting problems (quick fixes)

Battery hedge trimmer not starting

• Check battery charge

• Ensure battery is inserted correctly

• Make sure that both triggers are engaged

Petrol hedge trimmer won’t start

• Check fuel and switch position

• Repeat starting steps

Starts then stops

• Choke still on — move to run position

• Not enough fuel — prime again

Tips for easier starting

• Use fresh fuel for petrol models

• Do not overuse the choke

• Follow the correct sequence

• Let the engine warm up briefly
