The following hot-start procedures are effective for most hedge trimmer models:
Fully depress the throttle and pull the starter handle until the engine coughs.
Pull the choke control out, then push it back in without pressing the throttle. This sets the high-idle position and may make the engine easier to start.
Press the air purge bulb repeatedly until fuel begins to fill the bulb. The bulb does not need to be completely full. Move the choke to the closed position, then pull the starter cord firmly until the engine starts. Once the engine starts, fully depress the throttle.
