The fuel tank vent is leaking

Check the fuel tank vent

The fuel tank cap can be disassembled to inspect and clean the tank vent.

1. Use a screwdriver to carefully remove the housing (A), which contains the non-return valve (B) and cover (C).

2. Clean the filter (D) and the vent hole in the fuel cap (E) using compressed air.

3. Reassemble the fuel tank cap in the reverse order of disassembly. Ensure the seal (F) is correctly installed and free from damage.

⚠️NOTE:The non-return valve (B) has a small slit (G) that is visible only when the sides of the valve are gently squeezed. When the valve is functioning correctly, the slit should not be visible in its normal position. Replace the non-return valve if it is damaged or not functioning properly.
