The engine does not get fuel
To check if the engine is getting fuel, pull the starter rope three times. Remove the spark plug and check if the electrode is dry.
If the electrode is dry the motor is not getting fuel.

Check the fuel line and fuel filter
When the engine is not getting fuel, this can often be easily fixed by checking the fuel line or cleaning/replacing the fuel filter.

The fuel hose in the tank contains a fuel filter. It is accessible through the fill hole. Pull out the filter.

If the filter is not too dirty, its surface can be cleaned with a brush. Otherwise, it must be replaced.

Check the fuel hose for blocks, cracks, and leaks.

Make sure that the filter’s connection neck is inserted as far as possible into the fuel hose and that the clip is sufficiently tight so that the filter cannot slide off the tube.
