Petrol-powered Trimmer support

The engine doesn't start when it is hot

Try this solution

Use hot-start procedure

The following hot-start procedures are effective for most grass trimmer models:

  • Hold the throttle fully open and pull the starter handle until the engine briefly fires or coughs.

  • Pull the choke control out, then immediately push it back in without touching the throttle. This sets the fast idle, making the engine easier to start.

  • Press the air purge bulb repeatedly until fuel begins to enter the bulb. The bulb does not need to be completely full. Move the choke to the closed position, then pull the starter handle firmly until the engine starts. Once the engine is running, apply full throttle to allow it to return to normal idle speed.
