Snow Blower support

Loss of traction drive or slowing of drive speed

The snow blower drives slowly or is slowing down the speed.

Try this solution

The drive engagement cable is too loose

Adjust the tension of the drive engagement cable.

⚠️WARNING: To prevent accidental start, stop the engine and remove the ON/OFF key. Make sure that the auger and impeller and all moving parts have stopped. Disconnect the spark plug cable and keep the cable away from the spark plug.

The tension of the drive engagement cable must be increased if the drive does not engage when you push and hold the drive engagement lever. The tension of the drive engagement cable must be decreased if the product does not immediately stop when you release the drive engagement lever.

⚠️WARNING: Make sure that there is not too much tension in the drive engagement cable. Too much tension can cause the product to move when you do not push the drive engagement lever. Serious injury and/or damage to the product can occur if the product moves forward without an operator.

1. Hold the adjustment screw (A) in position and loosen the locknut (B).

2. Adjust the tension of the drive engagement cable.
a) Turn the adjustment screw (A) clockwise to increase the tension of the drive engagement cable.
b) Turn the adjustment screw (A) counterclockwise to decrease the tension of the drive engagement cable.
3. Hold the adjustment screw (A) in position and tighten the locknut (B).
4. Start the engine.
5. Raise the control lever for the drive speed from the
middle position.
6. Push and hold the drive engagement lever to start the drive. Make sure that the product moves forward.
7. Release the drive engagement lever. Make sure that the drive disengages and the product immediately stops.
